It's just awkward because they pause for the laughter to than keep going. If they moved the conversation forward and cut all the dead air out the show would still be funny and without annoying laughs that way you can laugh when you think it's funny.

There r long pauses purposefully given so that it doesn't get inaudible when people are laughing and its not a fake laugh track too, it's the laugh of actual audience so dont judge that the show is bad without it
